Construction Update: Vel R. Phillips Avenue
Incredible progress at our new high school site on Vel R. Phillips Avenue! Framing out classrooms, prepping for drywall, and heating duct work underway. Plus, a warm welcome to 10th-grade scholar Shamariona from Milwaukee Excellence, representing girls on-site for the first time! Once completed the new school facility will be home to up to 500 scholars. Renovations at our 29th and Capitol Drive location will commence early next week, check out the video below.

Marquette University’s Upward Bound Empowers Futures
It was inspiring to have representatives from Marquette University’s Upward Bound Programs join us for Friday Morning meeting this week. They shared information about the the program including the incredible student supports provided by Marquette University.

Meeting and making history!
Students from Milwaukee Scholars Charter School recognized Dr. Fuller during a Black History Month Celebration last week. This is amazing!
As a part of HFCA’s mission of sending our scholars to and through college, each senior has to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for a variety of aid: federal, state, and school-based, as well as grants and scholarships.
