Please plan on attending Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy’s Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday February 15 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The Parent Teacher Conferences are a wonderful opportunity for parents to discuss their child’s progress and classes and to work with teachers as a team to develop strategies to support their child’s success. We believe that face-to-face conversations with all of your child’s teachers on the same day can provide a comprehensive overview of their progress.

Construction Update
We continue to see amazing progress at the construction site for our new high school. This week, Milwaukee Excellence 10th-grade scholar Landen catches us up including a visit to the location of our state-of-the-art music production studio. Once completed, the school will be home to up to 500 scholars. HFCA is investing over $31 million in a new high school facility and upgraded middle school.
Chair Check
On February 8th, scholars from HFCA and Milwaukee Excellence had the opportunity to test out new school furniture for comfort and share their valuable opinions. Huge thanks to the #amazing Best Ed Co-Owner June Perry-Stevens for her expertise and guidance during this process! HFCA is proud to partner with Best Ed Business, a woman- and Black-owned company, in selecting furniture for our new high school in Milwaukee’s historic Bronzeville neighborhood.
Unity is Strength
HFCA and Milwaukee Excellence came together on February 8 for Umoja Athletics Night. It was an amazing night filled with fellowship, celebration and a fun basketball game. The Lions topped MX by a final score of 71 to 54.

We celebrate and honor James Cameron. He was 16 years old when he escaped from a mob of white people who lynched two of his friends in Marion, Indiana. He is the founder of America’s Black Holocaust Museum, which is across the street from where the new HFCA high school facility will be located.
