College Decision Day on May 5

Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy is excited to announce its annual College Decision Day event, taking place on May 5th, 2023. Decision Day celebrates the hard work and achievements of the Class of 2023, as they make their decisions about which colleges and universities they plan to attend this fall.

The event is open to all scholars, staff, families, and members of the community, who are invited to join us online for the celebration. The event will be streamed LIVE on Facebook and YouTube, starting at 8:30 a.m.

So far this year, the Class of 2023 has been accepted into a combined total of 238 colleges and universities from across the country. We are proud to announce that they have earned over $2 million in scholarship dollars, a testament to their hard work and dedication.

 Senior Amillya Maclin, Student Council President, National Honor Society member, and part of the Technology Ambassador program, has been accepted into over 20 colleges and has earned over $500,000 in scholarship dollars. She plans to study Dermatology and is eager to be able to share her college choice with the community.

 Davirous Edwards has been accepted into nine colleges and plans to study Civil Engineering. He has narrowed his choices down to three schools and will be announcing his decision on May 5th during the event.

 “I am proud of myself and credit my teachers and mentors for helping me flourish academically and grow into a responsible young adult,” said Edwards.

 “We are beyond ecstatic and proud of the graduating Class of 2023,” added Maclin. “We have pushed hard, and I look forward to seeing where we all continue our education.”

 Founded in 2004, Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy is a public charter high school that delivers a college-focused education to scholars from across the City of Milwaukee. Our school sets ambitious goals for student achievement, with the aim of creating scholars who are college, career, and life-ready.
